How to fix the problem with switching the video card from integrated to discrete on a laptop?
The laptop has 2 video cards: built-in Intel HD Graphics 4000 and AMD Radeon 7670M. In the task manager, both devices are active. But in all applications / games, in the settings of which you can specify an active video card, AMD is simply not there, only the integrated video card from Intel is on the list. I tried uninstalling drivers for: chipset, intel graphics, amd radeon. And then I installed them in the following order: chipset, Intel Graphics, AMD Radeon. Everything went well, but when installing drivers on AMD, an error pops up " Package installation error ". This error crashes when installing AMD Catalyst Control Center. If you install AMD drivers first and then Intel, the situation will not change: applications will work with Intel HD 4000.
I tried changing application settings in Catalyst Center, changing power settings: the result is the same. I also ran a test through GPU-Z. During the work of games and other demanding applications, the temperature readings of the AMD Radeon do not change, but the Intel HD 4000 does the opposite.
