How to fix the printing problem on a shared printer under MacOS?

I have an iMac that has a printer connected to it via a USB cable. The printer is set to be shared. On two other computers running Windows 10, this printer is installed using the Bonjour Print Service.
When printing from these machines, symbols are used instead of text.
How to fix?
