How to fix a funny bug in Viber?

In viber, you can change the text to bold, italic, etc.
Like this:
*text* -> bold
_text_ -> italic

But there is a bug like this, with double brackets, parentheses, etc. ., emojis are substituted for them.
Perhaps these characters can be encoded somehow?

There must be a space after the trailing asterisk.
You can try to insert a space before it as well - no emoji from such a combination will work anymore.
The question is how Viber's clients will react to such a text (and, presumably, they do the final formatting).
