How to find out what clogged the disk?

How can you find out what has been clogging up the disk recently in Windows 10? I suddenly discovered that only 400 MB are free, although recently there were more than 10 GB free.

If you just want to get to the bottom of which folder suddenly "swollen", without the tedious enumeration of the entire disk / partition, then SequoiaView is in your hands. This is a graphical display of the relative sizes of all folders on a partition, very visually made.
