One of the easiest ways to identify a Microsoft product by key is to download the Volume Activation Management Tool 2.0 from the Microsoft website. After installing and running this utility, go to the Product Keys section, enter the existing key and click Verify. After some time of searching, the utility will display inf. about the product to which the entered key belongs.
ShowKeyPlus (download - https://github.com/Superfly-Inc/ShowKeyPlus/releases/), which not only showed all the keys:
current win10
original win7 before upgrade to win10
OEM hardwired in BIOS

Download the usual one, then you can upgrade to the desired edition.

If it says Windows 8.1, it means normal home, Windows 8.1 SL means for one language, Windows 8.1 Pro means professional. In general, you can call the Microsoft Activation Center 8-800-200-800-2, get a transfer to the operator (for example, without pressing any keys on the autoinformer request), tell him the key and ask which edition he is from.
