How to set up a firewall on Windows 10?

But the laptop has an openvpn client that connects through port 443. I do the following:

  • Deny all outgoing connections
  • I create a rule and place it at the very top (that is, with a high priority) in which I allow outgoing traffic through port 443 via tcp. (through it, openpn also works)

As a result, the client does not even connect to the server. Why?! Is there a detailed instruction somewhere on how to wrap all traffic from a computer through openvpn and in case of a server crash or some kind of disconnects, so that the real ip would not be displayed? Or what am I doing wrong? I'm not even talking about tightening the rules in terms of prescribing from which ip the connection should be ... stupidly on one port does not even work.

@Drno

There is a suspicion that you also blocked DNS? Openvpn by domain or ip ?
Did you open outgoing calls to your router?
