How to find out the popularity of a word in English?

For example: I downloaded the subtitles of the film in order to read and translate unfamiliar words before watching. There were quite a lot of such words (150). And then the question arose: where to see how often a particular word is used in English? Is it worth it to learn it, or is it rare and you can safely skip it, because it’s still difficult for me to learn everything in a row.
