How to find out the cause of the OS freeze?

Good afternoon! Before that, the computer was running Windows, everything was ok under any load.
Now everything is also OK, but it happens that the computer specifically freezes on light tasks (application tabs do not open, the mouse cursor does not move).
I want to understand what the problem is, tell me, can I see the logs of the last session at the next session? Where should I look for the error, in syslog?

Most likely hangs DM. At the time of the hang, press ctrl + alt + F1, if you can log in, everything is fine. DM, somewhere on ctrl+alt+F3.
