How to extract the exact shooting time from a video file?

It is necessary to shoot a certain amount of material, then breaking it into pieces according to the exact absolute time. In what formats and how can you find out the start (end) time of the video (by the camera's internal clock, for example)? What kind of cameras can record such information at all?
If anyone is in the subject, write, please. I don't know much about the subject at all.

Any camera that writes timecode and supports the FREERUN timecode mode/format, such
as the Sony DSR-PD150 or PXW-X500, will do.
