How to explain the big increase in regional popularity in Wordstat?
Hello, in Wordstat statistics there is a very large increase in regional popularity (up to 1000%), and regions with a large increase are not targeted, we work only in the Russian Federation. What could be the problem? Could this be an agency issue?

The right column "Regional Popularity" in Wordstat's regional statistics is not popularity gain. This value shows how much the share of requests for this word in this region is higher than the share of these requests in other regions. And this number is often very high for the most unexpected countries and cities outside the Russian Federation and the CIS. But often these are the cities and countries where there are just a lot of Russian-speaking emigrants who use Yandex. Against the background of the overall small number of Russian-language queries that they generate, this results in such a high share of interest relative to other regions, in which millions of such queries are received. In fact, this is like a statistical error.
