How to easily encrypt a folder or file in Linux? Or in Mac.
Preferably with standard tools that come out of the box.

In Linux I archive with 7zip:
It hasn’t stuck on the poppy yet, since I use an encrypted cloud, but I think you can also use 7zip there from the console and maybe with gui
