How to earn a portfolio (except fl)?

Good day everyone!
The fact is that I set out to develop as a web designer.
Today the task is to develop a portfolio, which, of course, I will show to future employers. accordingly, the projects must be real.
But I don’t want to go to fl, since it’s paid, at least.
Perhaps you, friends, will advise in what ways it is possible to realize my goal?
Where can I get orders, even for free, but real ones?
Thank you!

You can do it like Theme Lebedev :

Since at that moment I could not have any clients, I had to invent them - and I made a huge portfolio for 20 customers, each of which was invented from scratch.
I came up with names for them, made business cards for them, I came up with phone numbers, addresses in Moscow, etc. Of course, if an attentive person went to this address and tried to find the indicated person, he would not even find him there. But that doesn't matter at all, because if you believe in something, then it exists.

Just take and draw sites for the services that come to your mind. You can redraw it, you can make a concept, or you can even make a cool website for the Tamara hairdressing salon - and it will be cool.

Make redesigns - everything is improved.
The best design comes when you make it for yourself. For example, if you use a toaster all the time and see its weaknesses, awkward moments in the interface, you can take this into account in your redesign. No need to delve into the design further. Then you decide for yourself whether to promote the idea to the site owner or not, but the work will go to the portfolio at least. If you manage to realize it, you are a cool guy, consider helping other people, making a contribution to society. Consider yourself a socially responsible designer.
Only the main thing is not just to change, to do differently, but to improve the design, while maintaining the existing benefits.

1. Make templates for stores: Templatemonster, Envato, etc;
2. Make several sites for municipal institutions. Kindergarten, music school, library. Federal programs pass by these institutions and the work there is through the roof, but, accordingly, the payment is either not or very small. But if you run into an adequate leader, then it is quite possible to count on employment at a temporary rate and receive 5 thousand rubles a month.

What is free on fl.ru? I never paid anything and in a year I built up a portfolio with many orders. The hardest part is finding the first order.

In the same hell, we find a good, adequate specification and do it according to it, trying to make changes only where it is inadequate (like a button on the entire slider). It is also possible on contest sites like dizcon, but there are very crooked requests there too. More dis. agencies publish test cases. Well, google 100 day ui)
