Recommend a free, preferably highly customizable, desktop video capture application for Windows video tutorials. Since the video will then be processed in Kdenlive, the ability to quickly save in lossless, or raw, without compression is desirable.
Minimum requirements: resolution 1280x720, 12 fps, audio support optional.
Work machine

In Linux I use

avconv -f x11grab -r 12 -s 1280x720 -i :0.0+0,0 -vcodec libx264
       -pre lossless_ultrafast -threads 0 1.avi
