How to do conditional formatting with a formula?

I am interested in whether it is possible to make the color (green or red) in the cell light up, depending on which word is next in the cell (word: "red" or "green").
And do it all through a formula, not through conditional formatting.
It's just that when the table grows, then conditional formatting needs to be written separately for each range, and the formula can be "stretched" to new cells.

We need to do two conditional formatting - for red and green, respectively.
As an example, for column A:A : the word on the right = "red"
Условное форматирование - Своя формула
=B1="красный"
And so, everything has already been invented and used. When copying cells and/or format, conditional formatting is also copied , and there is no problem.
