How to distribute the Internet from one router to another via wi-fi?

The crux of the problem:
Internet from Rostelecom was brought into the apartment using their elite GPON technology. Everything would be fine if the Internet was normally distributed. The speed flies, packets are lost, the connection is unstable, VKontakte opens every other time, it is impossible to play Diablo 3. Technical support says that it’s the neighbors’ routers that jam the signal, they don’t have other routers for rent, we won’t change them (there is an opinion that the router is dying), but rent a Wi-Fi signal amplifier from us for 100 rubles per month. I won't do it on principle.
I have an Asus N65 router, which distributed everything perfectly without lags in my last apartment.
I want to:
Distribute the Internet from the Rostelecom ZTE router on the wall to my Asus N65, so that it distributes the Internet to the whole apartment via Wi-Fi.
How to do it?
Please advise with detailed explanations, I'm not that very well versed in this.
I already climbed into the Asus admin panel, set the connection as a bridge, chose the Rostelecom network, but then I don’t understand how to connect to the network and where to enter the password.
Guys, nid help.

@SpikeCowboy

If Rostelecom has RJ45 ports, then any router can be connected there with a patch cord in access point mode.

To begin with, try changing the channel in the router, if the neighbors are really jamming, then you can find a less loaded channel.
