I started to understand recently with photos in wordpress
A little confused in terminology - what is the difference between galleries and albums?
I need to add many photo albums to the site.
In the admin panel, I created several galleries, now I want, say, to display a list of created galleries in the sidebar, and in the text field of the page thumbnails of the galleries.
Everyone gives me gallery shortcuts?
How can I make new galleries be added automatically?

For your task, you need some kind of gallery plugin with albums. The standard WordPress gallery works in a completely different way. It is created within one post and inserted into it. And you need to store galleries as separate entities.
