How to disconnect from an RDP session so that the desktop remains?
1) First of all, Windows7 is loaded on the remote computer, the desktop is visible, no programs are running.
2) I connect to it via RDP, work, then close all programs, disconnect.
3) But now the login prompt remains hanging on the remote computer, but you need the desktop to remain, as it was before connecting.
How can I do this?

How to do this?Restart your computer instead of exiting. Set autologin on boot.
The direct answer to the question is no. You are connected via RDP not to the session that is "located" on the monitor screen, but to a separate one.
If it's Windows 10 - use Remote Desktop Shadowing, otherwise use third-party mechanisms to connect to the console session - VNC, teamviewer etc.
