How to disable traffic in Mikrotik?

Hello.
I take mikrotik, reset the settings to factory settings.
I create PPPOE through eth1. It connects, I check the Internet - it works, okay.
It is necessary to prohibit all traffic through pppoe, except for a certain range of ip addresses. To begin with, I block all connections from pppoe in the filters: chain (input), in. Interface (pppoe), action (drop).
When the filter is set, only DNS disappears. That is, I can’t go anywhere by the domain name, but it’s easy by the ip-address. Pings also work fine..
Why is this happening? Should all traffic be dropped from pppoe?

@Roc27

Change input to forward, you need to block traffic passing through Mikrotik.

Input - Incoming traffic to the router.
