How to disable extension updates in Google Chrome?
Guys,
The problem is small but not childish. There are a couple of extensions in Google Chrome, one of them is called AutoFill 2.0.crx, an old one, but awesome for registering on any sites, it works flawlessly. One problem - fucking Chrome that constantly updates it to version 6.4.0 - the same autophile that is on steroids - rare shit.
I tried to disable updates in Chrome - I found a method on HabraHabre, turned it off so that even pictures in Google stopped loading))) - the method is working but painfully hard.
Another method I tried was to simply delete the GoogleUpdate.exe file - Chrome is no longer updated, but its extensions are updated, I don’t see where the logic is - this method worked all day.
I even tried to comment out the update_url line in the manifest.json file - it also did not help.
Maybe someone knows how to make it so that in Chrome it does not update the extension itself, or at least my extension?

Open it and add it in developer mode as a folder without an update link.
This is the last resort.
With Sharp right, this is the only sane option. All the others are either quite complicated (rebuild your chrome from source) or won't work (you've already described them in the post).
