How to direct the browser to the Site if the Site and the Server have the same domain - domain.com?

Good afternoon, dear gurus!
Our Site and Server have the same domain: domain.com
The previous admin set up the /ect/hosts file so that when logging into domain.com through a browser, the user gets to the site, not to the server.
It was like this: 000.000.000.000<-->www.domain.com
(I.e.: IP and domain. It is the IP address of the SITE)
And also in the DNS there was a type A record with the same IP.
A proxy was also configured
. The site moved to another IP.
I registered this new IP in the DNS record and did not touch it in the hosts
Proxy
But! when I drive domain.com into the browser - the browser transfers to the hosting where the site is located, i.e. on mirohost.net
Help, what are the options?
Proxy
DNS
hosts
where else to dig?
Thanks in advance

Apparently, your domain is not configured on microhost, which is why a redirect to a stub page occurs, this has nothing to do with the old server.

I do not understand how you can get to the server by entering something into the browser. On the other hand, I don't understand how you can get to the site, but not get to some server :) But this is a lyric.
Firstly, it takes time to update DNS, but if you have an explicit domain ip in your hosts file, then the browser on this computer will not get into DNS.
Secondly: the domain must be configured and connected to the source of the site on the new server, as already written here.
But all this is strange, because you are transferred to the previous hosting, and this cannot happen if you access a domain through a browser, the ip-address of which is explicitly registered in the hosts file.
I think that you are still missing something. Let's get more information.

in short, the trouble was in the next
site on wordpress
and domain.com was written there in the settings and
it turned out that when I entered www.domain.com, wordpress itself threw me to domain.com and here the browser saw the server name, and started looping , so I was stupidly thrown to the hosting site, the
problem was solved in the WordPress settings, enter the domain www.domain.com
