How to detect a freeze?

There is an asynchronous client-server application in C# + WCF + WPF. The problem is that it freezes and I can't figure out where it's happening. If I pause the debugger while hovering, I get the following message: "The application has entered the break state, but no code is currently running that is supported by the selected debugger (for example, only native code is running)." Tell me how to determine at least the function in which it hangs?
