How to deal with indexed pages when creating a new site on the same domain?

There is a site that has not been updated for a long time best4dj.ru with search traffic of about 300 uniques per day. It is planned to remake the site on the same domain, but without pirated content. There are now 1603 pages in the Yandex index, and about the same in Google. How to deal with pages that will inevitably be deleted as painlessly as possible?

Good afternoon!
I would put redirects to new pages of the site. You can also return a 404 error. But to make this page more informative, so that people from the search who clicked on the old links went to the new sections of your site.

Why not just use google and yandex webmaster? Although a lot of work, you don’t have to worry about subsidence of positions.

Give 404 Not Found - if the pages are not needed.

301-redirect, with fewer pages in the index, works with a bang. I think with one like yours it should also help.
