How to deal with a large number of internal links?
Hello, in the webmaster there is a situation where a number of pages like "about us", "rules", "FAQ" and others have one of the largest number of internal links to themselves among other pages. Most likely, this is due to the fact that they are in the footer on each page.
At the same time, the important pages on which I would like to focus the attention of users and search engines are completely different.
Actually, questions. Is the situation critical? Should you reduce the number of links to non-landing pages? And if yes, what is the best way to do it, nofollow?
Thank you in advance.

No, don't worry about it at all, you won't make it better or worse.
Make it easy for users to get information.
In practice: no, links to similar pages both from the header and from the footer do not affect the promotion of the target ones.
