How to cut video into images?

So it goes.
I want to cut an image from a video, but I can’t find a program (for macOS) that will be convenient to do this.
I would like to be able to specify the size and format of images, their number, so that they are evenly distributed over the length of the video, or that screenshots are cut at a certain time interval.
Maybe someone knows - there are similar programs?
