How to cut the firmware and bootloader from the dump?

Welcome all. It is necessary to cut the firmware binaries (specifically OpenWRT) from the SquareFS flash drive dump. I know how to do it through HEX using offsets. Is it possible (and how) to find these offsets yourself, or perhaps one of you knows them?

You probably need a firmware mod kit.
The composition includes binwalk, which will find what is what by signatures, and a bunch of different versions of "extractors" for different FS. It will unpack itself everything it can (usually - rootfs), pack it itself (after your changes), if you want.

What kind of iron? you need to know the size of the partitions and their location, then cut the partition with fw.
