How to customize MDL?

Installed via npm.
Went to src/material-design-lite.scss, disabled everything except @import "button/button", ran Gulp, everything went without errors. The material.css file is unchanged, the entire framework is present, which I do not need. The gulpfile blew my mind. How to turn off what is not needed in MDL?

Maybe all your files are concatenated in src? Here, even without import, everything will be assembled. In general, it would be better to see the gulpfile
