How to create raid 1 from 2x4TB and 2x300GB?

How to create raid1 correctly? Of the 4 physical drives, 2 for 4TB and 2 for 256GB for storing log records. And where to install Windows Server 2019 OS?

Be careful, creating a raid using bios means you will get a vendorlock, i.e. when changing the motherboard, the new controller will almost certainly not be able to see the array, and data recovery will be fraught with some difficulties.

Windows has long had built-in support for software raid, and you can create partitions not only from physical disks (at least 2 partitions are required to install the system, for the efi bootloader ~ 500mb and for the system
True, there is a nuance, the installer itself cannot work with raid (you can’t keep a boot partition in a software raid either), but you can install the system on one disk and after installation make a raid out of this disk, adding the second one as a copy
. Which disks to put on, it all depends on you, I suppose two disks of 256 are ssd? it would be nice to install the system on them (if these are ancient hdd, then it is better not to install the system on them, as it will work noticeably slowly).
