How to create dropdown menu on modx pdoMenu?

There is a modx revo engine and a menu is generated on it using pdomenu with parameters & resources where specific id entries are specified.
How to set the class of a link that has a submenu?

Use js to check if the item has a submenu and assign a class if it does. This is if in the forehead.
