How to create an upwork profile without a photo?

This is the first time I've set up an upwork account. When searching for jobs, it says: "Your profile is a draft. You will not be able to submit proposals until it's been approved." In the profile itself, it requires you to add a photo (which you don’t want to do). In the list of freelancers, I saw other people's accounts without photos. That is somehow possible.

When you get a job, do you come in a mask and without a passport? Upwork is a serious job, feel free to add a photo

Is there a good reason not to include a photo of yourself? Some customers may bypass you due to the banal lack of photos.
