How to create a repository with software on a flash drive or in a folder (installations)?
Hello! There is such a utility as portableApps, great: installed, selected software and everything is immediately updated.
But often there are situations when there is no Internet on the computer being installed (and all the necessary software is not always available in portableApps). Accordingly, you carry a flash drive with you, on which the installation files of the necessary programs. But another thing arises: they are updated, you need to constantly update them. How to automate this process? Is there such software, which, as it were, is off. sites keeps track of updates so that they can be downloaded later, and deletes old versions? So that I have this folder with installations fresh and do not have to do anything with my hands ...
and a related question, so as not to create a separate topic ... how to automate the transfer of the "Desktop" folder to drive D?

Automation is usually writing scripts in batch, PowerShell, which describe the order of actions and all sorts of manipulations.
If you need 100% coverage of your question - write scripts that will check the date of the file by reference. Shove into Cron and let it spin every 12 hours.
A simpler option is to run the download script once manually when necessary. But in any case, you need to find permanent dynamic links. Or software like the same portable apps.
Well, or pump out WPI periodically :)
Although my personal opinion is that if there is no Internet on your computer, put what you have. All the same, no one will update (or update itself, for example, chrome). I have not yet seen ordinary people who would upgrade the conditional WinRar 4.20 to 5.10. works and it's fine.
My personal experience:
- a server or a cloud drive with a copy of the flash drive + various additional software
- the flash drive itself with the most important software and Windows.
// I have a personal dislike for Portable apps. But for myself, in conjunction with OneDrive and desktop synchronization, it’s quite a good option.
