How to create a docker image of your system and not from a repository?

In all the manuals that I have read, the dockerfile suggests taking an image from the repository as a basis.
And you need an image of your own, just installed system.
Is it possible?

There is a docker import. I containerized Fedora 6 from a live host.
But there is no point in converting your current host into an image. The sizes are oversized.
