How to create a bitcoin wallet on linux?

Hey Habr!

I want to create a bitcoin wallet
. I work in Debian wheezy.
Religion prohibits the use of Windows
The official repository has a ready-made bitcoind package.
Similarly, there is a ready-made package on bitcoin.org.
What to put?

And if you install, questions immediately appear:

How to create a wallet?
How to find out how many coins are in the wallet?
How to transfer coins in Linux?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, in general, the sequence of actions is usual: set and read docks, mana, -h, --help, etc. Better to put off turnips, less hemorrhoids with updates.

I refused my wallet on my computer, it was painfully inconvenient, because I work on different computers. I keep money on my Mtgox account. At first I used mybitcoin, but transactions began to disappear. I did not observe this with Mtgox.

I also faced the question of which bitcoin wallet to choose so that it works on different platforms, on the advice of a friend, I chose https://apibtc.com/ . Completely secure and anonymous, works across multiple platforms. A huge plus is the 24/7 support service.
