There are 2 sites in the same niche. Both sites have a good number of links from cool sources. I want to stop working on one of them and transfer its link weight to the one that remains. How to do it as efficiently as possible? I work for Google.

Measure the position of the promoted site and start experimenting. The link from the main one in any case will be the most significant. Try a through link from a donor. Links from page content. Etc.
After each iteration, compare the results based on the change in positions.
