How to copy photos from DSLR to Android tablet?

1. Canon EOS 60D
2. Chinese tablet with CM11 firmware (Android 4.4)
3. Cable for connecting them
Task:
Copy a photo (and, if possible, a video). So far, this has been done only through the standard Gallery, but there you have to select photos one at a time and there is no video support.

And how is the camera determined by android? If it's like a flash drive, then copy it with any file manager (TotalCommander for example).
