How to copy all windows user settings to another user?
There was a problem with the user "user1" (domain) on the machine, he stopped logging in and there was no way to cure it. As a result, you need to transfer all its settings to another, local user user2, so that everything would work without reconfiguring as in the old profile, from the desktop view to the settings of all programs. The new user is the local admin. How to do everything neatly, correctly and completely?
From what I thought of myself:
1. transfer the "Desktop", "Documents" folders from the profile to users1 (what else is worth it?)
2. load the ntuser.dat hive from the user1 profile, export the Software branches from it (software settings) , Network (mapped disks) and import them into the registry "user2" (is it worth it to bang the current partition before that completely or can you roll over it?)
What else is needed? By the way, is there a simpler procedure?
