Windows 7 desktop without icons with preview of active windows, how?

Hello community!
The other day I was at a meeting with another customer and was pleasantly surprised by his desktop on a Mac. There were no icons at all, and the entire desktop area was occupied by areas with previews of active windows. Is there something similar on Windows?

Did you see that?
If so, then there is an analogue in Windows. I don't know exactly how to call it, because for me it is called by swiping up with three fingers on the mouse.

On the desktop, right-click - view, uncheck "show desktop icons"
