How to convert disk from apfs to mac os extended without data loss?

I want to rollback from 10.13.6 to 10.7.5. I can just enter recovery mode and reinstall mac os, but the data will not be saved. I need to convert the drive to mac os extended as mac os lion doesn't support apfs.

You can add another partition and copy the data there if there is enough space. Then remove partition from apfs.
