How to completely uninstall Postgresql from Mac?
I went through different options, from beginning to end I followed the instructions from here .
The psql command lives on, however, and issues
psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/var/pgsql_socket/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
Still
left rm /usr/bin/psql
Override
rwxr-xr-x root/wheel compressed for /usr/bin/psql?
It's already out of my control, and I honestly don't know what it does
. Ideas?

Maybe one of the commentators will tell you what exactly the problem is, but I will only advise you to use this in the future: postgresapp.com/ is a full-fledged Postgresql in the form of a single application. The tray application is running - the server is running. The application is off - there is no server. No installations deep "inside the system".
