How to control the movement of devices around the office?

Good afternoon.
I work for an IT company that develops games for mobile devices. Since the company has a lot of devices, it is very difficult to control their location inside the office.
Maybe someone has a good solution to this problem, except for handing out devices personally, assigning a certain UDID to a person.

I heard that there are special devices ala rfid tags, the signal from which you can read and, upon receiving it, perform the specified action. if you find such information, then you could put labels in the offices and when the device gets there - it could connect to the database and write its coordinates, and output the data from the database to the web interface on the office diagram. but for the life of me, I don't remember what they're called.

If we are talking about the fact that they are not taken out of the office, then anti-theft stickers are like in stores and gates at the exit, but this is all bypassed (the sticker is removed, the device is wrapped in foil, etc.)

No, it's not about not being taken out of the office. And about the fact that it is often difficult to find one or another device. Some not good people have a habit of hiding devices in desks or other personal items. It is necessary to come up with a system that will control the coordinates of this or that devas and it will be easy to calculate it at the right time.
