Who to hire to develop a mobile application: freelance developers or a studio?
Good afternoon!
We want to make a mobile application for ordering services for home and comfortable life (tutors, photographers, cleaners, etc.). There will be a separate application for clients and performers.
Taking into account the fact that there will be the possibility of paying with bank cards, integration with CRM, automation of settlements with contractors, etc., it is obvious that in addition to a mobile developer, we will also need a backend developer. Hence the question, is it worth hiring individual remote performers, or is it better to immediately order services from the studio (considering that this is our first experience of creating a mobile application)?
PS Development budget 1-3 thousand dollars
PS2: the design is ready

Recently I had the experience of a similar order - though the application is much simpler, without payment and automation, just orders. The price tags of the studios started from 500 thousand rubles. I ordered on one of the freelance exchanges - out of 25-30 who answered, there were 20 studios, and everything was mowed down for individual freelancers. With a deeper search, I found adequate 100-350 thousand.
Even according to your list - the price tag will be at least from the lyama. And you need to look for studios, because the project is serious.
To simplify, just 2 applications where people simply receive and send orders, and a server like mine, then you can meet 1.5 -3 kilodollars.
Payment, automation, integration is wildly expensive.
As an option, you can stay on a site with the described functions and adaptive design for the time being, it will come out much cheaper.
