How to contact Apple for a $1 charge per AppleID change

Today I received a request from Apple to update my AppleID information (although before that all purchases were made without problems), after I checked all the data and entered “everything is OK”, Apple withdrew $ 1 from my card, which went nowhere.

I went to their website to ask “what?!”, but I didn’t find where I could send the question to the support. I found only Mac App Store Customer Service , but it requires me to have MacOS (and I only have an iPad from Apple).

In general, maybe someone knows where to ask questions about billing and why they withdraw $1 not the first time just to check the validity of the account. They are in no hurry to charge back.

And mine is even funnier. For some reason, Apple agreed to accept a virtual visa from Kiwi when he logged into iTunes from a computer, and he solemnly withdrew a buck. But when connecting the iPod to the Market, he again asked to verify the card, said that he could not work with it, but again withdrew a dollar. Since it was not written anywhere what it does at all, I double-checked the CVC and hit the "accept" button. Then I looked at the balance - $ 10 as if it had never happened ... For six months they did not return it.

It seems to me that the dollar was not withdrawn, but reserved in order to find out if the card exists and whether it is possible to work with it. The dollar will either return on its own soon or be deducted from your first purchase. I had the second option.

The fact is that this $ 1 that was withdrawn from you will be returned to you, since such gestures are often carried out in order to check the solvency of your card.
I agree with comrade homm - you will be returned in one of two ways.

Blocking looks like a write-off (waste) of the amount. However, the money is then returned back. I had 1400 dollars blocked once, so that was a reason to worry :)

The dollar reserved for testing will be returned. However, there is another nuance: unfortunately, the success of reserving this dollar does not mean that the card is suitable for payment, I went through it myself: the dollar was perfectly reserved (and then returned), and when I wanted to buy something a week later, you see, the card is no longer suitable, Store support politely sent, it was necessary by trial and error to find the one that suited them.
