How to connect your phone to wifi?

I use free wifi. Sat for a couple of days - now I can not connect. A year ago I had the same problem on another phone. Just wrote "Authentication error" immediately after "Obtaining IP". Yesterday the same situation happened with a new phone. There is no password on wi-fi, rebooting the phone does not help. Reset your phone too. Changed mac address, didn't help. I deleted the wifi folder in data / misc, no result. Help me please. Thanks in advance for your reply.

The router needs to be rebooted - it most likely just hung - a common symptom for some cheap D-Link.
