How to connect to IKEv2 VPN client in Ubuntu?

I raised a VPN server in Docker from this image . It provides a command to generate .mobileconfig for Apple devices and it works great on them.
Is it possible to or connect to this VPN from Ubuntu desktop with (or without) .mobileconfig ?

IKEv2 can be connected using StrongSwan, it seems that OpenVPN is also capable of this.
There is a package for Gnome network-manager-strongswan, but it turns routes into a mess, so if you do NOT need full VPN traffic redirection, then dig towards setting up Strongswan connection via ipsec.conf
