How to connect to a Windows computer?
There is a favorite laptop with bubunta. I have a home computer on which I want to install Windows for Photoshop and Unity3d. But ... Inhibited reaction to rdp. Are there any other protocols to feel comfortable?

You can try VNC, there are clients and servers for both Linux/Ubuntu and Windows.
I myself used UltraVNC as a server on Windows, it worked fine with 7, but after upgrading to 8 / 8.1 it stopped - it slows down, crashes, and so on. Switched to TeamViewer :)
If it's fast and stable - only RDP
If at least somehow - then all the other options.
