How to connect the CO2 sensor with a laptop?

Greetings!
We need a sensor (co, co2, or something else that changes over time-distance) with the ability to upload the log of its operation to a laptop in any readable format.
Ultimate goal: match with one more gps sensor and map.
Essence of the question:
1. What sensor(s) can you recommend?
2. What technology-solutions for the software part can you recommend?

Well, you can use one-wire protocol, software - owfs. It looks like there are co2 sensors.

Я бы на ардуине сделал девайс, который опрашивает датчик по его протоколу, а в последовательный порт выплевывает данные в нужном мне формате. Подключение - USB, по нему же и питание, снятие данных - любой терминальной программой. Если знаете как - сможете заместо жирной ардуины поставить 8-ногий контроллер с тем же функционалом.
