How to connect Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9250 file system via USB cable to a computer with Windows XP?

There was a problem connecting Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9250 via USB cable to a computer running Windows XP SP3 32-bit.
The device is connected via a USB cable to the computer motherboard directly, not via a USB hub.
Tested on Android versions 4.0, 4.1. The USB debugging option is enabled.
The device's MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) driver cannot be installed.
(ID: USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_6860&MI_00\6&7e7e11d&1&0000)
During installation, it says: "Samsung Mobile MTP Device - an error occurred while installing the USB device, the required section was not found in the inf file."
- Tried official driver packages: Samsung Driver for Mobile Phones, Google USB Driver;
- Tried various third-party driver packages (maybe the one didn't get caught?);
- Installed Windows Media Player 11 (which adds MTP support to the system?);
Nothing helped. MTP device is not installed.
It was tested on various computers with Windows XP and tested different Nexuses.
At the same time, everything works in Windows 7, it is defined as a disk.
But how do you connect a Nexus file system via a USB cable to a Windows XP computer?

In addition to the above links, there is an idea that the USB debugging checkbox prevents connection as a masstorage device =)
