How to connect my system unit to a "laptop" over the air?

Good afternoon! I recently bought a MacMini, but I realized that a laptop suits me more than a desktop computer. Buying a Macbook will be too expensive. I had an idea to buy a monitor and a keyboard with a trackpad and connect it all over the air, via wifi or Bluetooth, so that it would be enough for an apartment of 40 sq.m2. But I want not just a monitor and a separate keyboard with a trackpad, but all in one device, in other words, "a laptop without internals."
Help me make this happen.

Buy the cheapest laptop with a screen size and resolution that suits you, and connect via RDP or whatever your Mac has. The laptop will be in the role of a thin client, roughly speaking.
If you install TimViewer, then you can even work from a cafe on a macmini =)
