How to connect mob. phone to PC - how to replace ip-telephony?

There was an idea to make it easier for parents to communicate with friends in another country.
How can this be implemented?
In stock:

  • the Internet
  • mob. nokia n97 simbian phone
  • NAS QNAP TS-212P (so that the phone is always on the network)

That is, through the Internet and a phone connected to nas, a call is made within the country to regular numbers, and not to kaips, baybers and vtsaps.
So far I have found an option through AirDroid (I don’t know if it will be possible to do it through the tyrnet, and not on the internal network), though this is for androyd, but still? Has anyone faced similar issues?

Simplify or cheapen?
Available:
internet
mob. Nokia N97 simbian
NAS QNAP TS-212P phone (so that the phone is always online)

No router? No comp?
Do you need to call within the country or abroad?
If now there are sensitive expenses for international calls and you need to call from home - buy an IP phone, connect it to the operator. The price of the device will be repaid in a few months, then the savings will go.

...You even confused me.
How do you get the Internet? Not with NAS.
Is there an Internet on the phone? If there is, then it's not a problem. Install any SIP client and that's it. Parents will only need to be told that in order to call long distance - it is necessary through this program. Yes, damn it, you can just give them another phone - a cheap android, for example, where the SIP client will be in autorun and that's it.
There (in the client) there is the same notebook (more precisely, usually it is just the same one). You poke someone to call and - voila

It is not very sensitive to consumption, the idea itself is interesting.
Of course there is Internet, there is a cisco linksys WRT320N router and a computer (laptop).
A call from abroad (USA) through a phone connected in Russia.
