I made a feedback form on the ContactForm7 plugin. The site is built on wordpress and runs on openserver, now I want to test the operation of these forms, and in the ConatctForm7 settings, you need to specify the mail from which letters will be sent. As a rule, it’s easier to start mail for a domain on a hosting, but on a local I was taken aback.

As far as I remember, if letters are sent using the mail function, then they are messages stored in text files. in a folder approximately userdata/tmp/email
if you want "real letters" then you need to specify the smtp server in the settings so that the letter goes through your mail (google, yandex, mail)
