How to connect ASUS RT-n10e router?

Good afternoon. When connecting the ASUS RT-n10e router to a laptop with Windows
7/64, the laptop receives the address 169...
Addresses 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 are not pinged.
Firewall is disabled.
It happens that the router distributes the following addresses:
172.18.119.16
gateway 172.18.119.1
But there is still no access to the settings.
What are the options for solving the problem?

For the initial configuration of this router, you need to connect a laptop with a wire to any LAN port (they are yellow), but not WAN (it is blue). Then the router will be available via IP 192.168.0.1 (as written in the documentation).
If the router has already been configured once, then you can try to connect via the LAN port. If the laptop does not receive an IP address via DHCP, then it is better to reset the router and set it up again, because it will take too long to guess whether DHCP is enabled and what address range is set for the local network.
If the address is still issued to a laptop, then, as written above, it is enough to change the last digit in the issued IP address to "1" and try to enter the browser. I met, however, that sometimes the router was "hung" on the 254th address.

it happens that to access the config you need the patch cord to be plugged into the 1st port or something like that.
and if the subnet distributes over the wires - 172.18.119.16 then try to climb through the browser to 172.18.119.1

The distribution result does not depend on the port number, I tried it. I went to the gateway - the page is not available.
